Chocolate Cake Donut
Who doesn’t like soft and moist donuts and especially when they are baked and covered with glazed chocolate and topped with a variety of sprinkles? For donut and chocolate lovers, these dense and dark are one true classic treat.

Light and baked with bold chocolate flavor, these donuts will make their mark in your classic collection that you love to visit often.
Fried VS Baked
I will be honest to admit that I always felt that baked donuts will always remain a part of the cake despite it taking a donut shape unless I tried it.
Yes, it is cake but it is also the best of both worlds, the cravings for donuts covered in intense chocolate cake flavor and the right amount of chocolate-topping makes it a great win. Especially when one does not want to load with a ton of extra fried heaviness.

Butter instead of Oil
One other trick which plays a crucial and important role in butter instead of oil which makes the cake donut more fluffy, moist, better in texture and taste.
The Topping
The simple chocolate topping makes the overall experience more enjoyable and if you want to double up the treat, have some extra sprinkles to add fuel to fire.
Useful and Handy Tips
- Make sure to use all ingredients at room temperature to get perfect results, any ingredients other than room temperature will directly affect the fluffiness.
- Mix all the dry ingredients and sift them nicely
- Grease the pan and use a piping bag to add the filling
- Do not overfill the pan, the recommended filling is 3/4
Can we make mini donuts?
Absolutely Yes, you can use any donut pan of your choice but the baking time will be different (according to the pan size)
Can we make it without Donut Pan?
No, because the batter is not easy to handle as it is runny in nature.
Can we make a cupcake with the same batter?
Yes, the same batter can be used to make perfect chocolaty cupcakes
Can we store and eat later?
Yes, I kept them in the refrigerator (covered) for 3 days and microwaved for 30 seconds, and it was as good as freshly baked.
