For Donuts
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour 140g
- 1/2 cup Sugar 100g
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder 25g
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Bakin Soda
- 1/2 tsp Coffee
- 1 Egg
- 1/3 cup Milk 80ml
- 1/4 cup Cream 60ml
- 2 tbsp Melted Butter 30g
Chocolate Glaze
- 100 g Chocolate
- 1 tbsp Cream
Donut
Preheat oven to 350°F/ 160° C.
Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, coffee powder and salt in a large bowl and set aside.
Mix Coffee in the milk and set aside.
In a medium bowl whisk egg with sugar until well combined.
Add milk, cream, melted butter, and whisk until combined.
Mix dry ingredients in wet ingredients in two batches.
Fill the batter ¾ way full using a piping bag.
Bake for 10 - 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the donuts comes out clean.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes in pan, then remove donuts from pan and transfer to a wire rack. Allow to cool completely before glazing.
Chocolate Glaze
Melt the chocolate, cream, in the microwave or a double boiler until smooth. Dip the tops of the donuts into the chocolate glaze, and place them on a cooling rack to set.
