Ingredients
For Chocolate sponge cake
- 3 big Eggs
- 90 g Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 70 g All purpose flour
- 20 g Cocoa Powder
- 30 g Milk
- 30 g oil
For Strawberry filling
- 250 g Strawberry
- 2 tbsp Sugar
whipping cream
- 250 g Heavy Cream
- 2 tbsp Icing Sugar
Instructions
For Cake
- Preheat the oven to 180°c and line the baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a separate bowl whisk the egg white until little foamy then add salt, sugar, and whisk until a stiff peak form using an electric mixer.
- Add egg yolk, one by one, and beat until fully incorporated.
- Shit flour and cocoa powder in a bowl, add in two batches, and mix with a spatula until smooth.
- Mix some cake mixture in oil and milk and mix in the cake batter.
- Pour into the baking pan, tap the pan on a surface a few times to get rid of big air bubbles.Bake for 20 mins or until done.
- Tap the pan on the surface for a few times after out of the oven while hot, remove from the pan and let it cool on a rack.
For Strawberry
- Cut the strawberries in small pieces.
- In a saucepan add strawberries and sugar cook on low flame until strawberries get tender.
- Turn off the heat and let it cool down completely.
For Cream
- Combine the chilled whipping cream, sugar and vanilla extract in a bowl.whisk the whipping cream until it thickens and reaches the soft peak stage.
Assemble
- Cut the cake according to the serving glass.
- Place a layer of chocolate cake at the bottom.
- Top with strawberry sauce and cover with wipped cream.
- Chill in the fridge before serving.
